DBB Floating Ball Valve Double Ball Double Block & Bleed High Pressure
A double-block-and-bleed valve (DBB) is a “single valve with two seating surfaces that, in the closed position, provides a seal against pressure from both ends of the valve with a means of venting/bleeding the cavity between the seating surfaces.” This valve does not provide positive double isolation when only one side is under pressure.
A double-isolation-and-bleed valve (DIB) is a “single valve with two seating surfaces, each of which, in the closed position, provides a seal against pressure from a single source, with a means of venting/bleeding the cavity between the seating surfaces.” This feature can be provided in one direction or in both directions.
Double block and bleed valves finish the work that would generally need 3 separate valves – one drain and 2 isolation valves. It costs less space, and decreases installation cost and permit fewer possible paths for leakage compared to traditional valve installation.
This configuration provides the best solution for the most severe isolation services where double block and bleed is required, and permits gas, oil, and petrochemical operators to make sure fully safety in hard operations. Some other benefits of installing double block and bleed valves are:
